schedule

The learning schedule is modeled upon the hallowed Seder of Tomchei Temimim Yeshivos, while making an effort to “live with the times”,, and ensuring that every Bochur’s specific needs are met and addressed.

Recreation &
Activities

The Bochurim are encouraged to use some of their spare time for swimming and other recreational activities, fostering physical health and mental clarity essential for productive, learning sessions.

Yeshiva

The Yeshiva atmosphere is positive filled with Simcha. Bochurim don’t feel forced; they and the Hanhala work together toward the same goal. They're encouraged to enjoy learning, Davening, and desire growth.

Our Great Mission

The mission of the staff and directorship of Yeshiva Gedola Lubavitch is to bring to fruition the Rebbe’s vision, upon establishing the Yeshiva in the year 5744 / 1984. That is, to create a haven of Torah, that is a lighthouse for its entire surroundings. In Yeshiva Gedola Lubavitch of South Africa, local and overseas students unite together in the expression of joy and excitement in the study of Torah and serving Hashem. They learn to discover the Divine in every aspect of creation, preparing themselves and the world to greet Moshiach and the final redemption!

Why South Africa?

Is it safe?

BH, the Yeshiva is in an extremely safe & very Jewish neighborhood. The entire area & especially the immediate vicinity of Yeshiva are fully protected & secure. The Hanholo takes every precaution that also when the Bochurim go out, they are safe & secure at all times.

Are there scholarships?

There is a scholarship fund based on various factors that determine eligibility.

If your son fits the criteria, and is right for the Yeshiva, we are certain that together we’ll come up with a plan that will make it work.
